Heirloom ornament maker Old World Christmas has new gifts under the tree.
Through a licensing agreement, the company will deliver ornaments from Magic: The Gathering, General Mills, Smucker’s, and Strawberry Shortcake. The whimsical and memory-stirring collection of hand-blown glass ornaments will trim holiday trees this year.
“Our ornaments are all about memories and storytelling,” says Neal Applefeld, President and CEO, Old World Christmas. “These four new partners span across decades of fans, and help capture memories of everything from breakfast in front of the TV on Saturday mornings to favorite characters to after-school snacks. We hope that not only will people be able to reminisce, but also introduce them to their kids and families.”
General Mills is set to debut nine new ornaments inspired by its most beloved food brands for its Christmas tree. Fan-favorite items like the Totino’s Pizza Rolls Bag, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Cheerios, Pillsbury Doughboy, Trix, and Betty Crocker Gingerbread Mix bring a playful, pop-culture twist to traditional holiday décor.
Fans of fantasy and tabletop gaming will appreciate the Black Lotus card, a gleaming tribute to Magic: The Gathering. The ornament reimagines the coveted card in hand-painted glass, making it a must-have for longtime players and collectors alike. The Black Lotus card was published in the earliest editions of the game and is now the most valuable card.
The J.M. Smucker Company is celebrating the classic combo of peanut butter and jelly with a sweet new duo: ornaments featuring Smucker’s Strawberry Jam and Jif Peanut Butter, for choosy holiday decorators.
Meanwhile, Strawberry Shortcake and her crew are ready to spread cheer. Two new ornaments — the beloved character with her cat Custard, and a throwback Strawberry Shortcake lunchbox — are ready to charm new generations of fans with their timeless, berry-sweet style.
