DeAPlaneta Entertainment and Superprod Group have teamed up to reintroduce the iconic Underdog character to a new generation with an animated children’s series. This collaboration builds on their successful track record with the previous shows, Helen’s Little School and That’s Joey.
The Underdog series was developed by Superprod Animation, and produced in Paris and Milan with Angoulême studios and Red Monk; it is currently in production with Gulli/M6, Red Monk Studio, and RAI. Premiering in fall 2025 with 52 11-minute episodes, Underdog is a lighthearted comedy targeted to children ages five to eight.
DeAPlaneta Entertainment holds media rights for Spain, Portugal, and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), as well as global merchandising and brand licensing rights, excluding French- and Italian-speaking regions and the United States. Superights, Superprod Group’s distribution arm, is selling in other territories globally.

This show will revitalize the Underdog character, as the hero pup’s last on-screen appearance was in the 2007 Walt Disney Pictures live-action film.
