Known for its innovative work in themed entertainment, SPRK reveals the completion of its immersive lighting installation for MINILAND at the all-new LEGOLAND Resort in Shanghai, China. SPRK was chosen by Merlin Entertainments and Merlin Magic Making to create a dynamic environment that enhances MINILAND’s storytelling and models.
MINILAND is a LEGOLAND Resort attraction featuring detailed LEGO recreations of iconic cities and landmarks. With Shanghai LEGOLAND Resort marking the LEGO brand’s first full-scale theme park in China, the MINILAND attraction showcases some of China’s most beloved sites in miniature brick-model forms.
The lighting installation illuminates the magic of the models with theatrical and architectural lighting design, control system design, show creative development, lighting programming, and more. In conjunction with Merlin Magic Making, SPRK integrated pixel-controllable lighting within LEGO models for additional depth and dynamics.
