Pierce the Veil is surely one of the most prominent post-hardcore/pop-punk bands of the early 2000s, mixing pop, punk, screamo, and hardcore. Selfish Machines stands out as one of the band’s early developmental albums dipping mostly into progressive rock. The album was originally released in 2010 with features from A Day to Remember members like McKinnon (and co-written by Tom Denney, a former guitarist for the band).
