Toei is scaling one of Japan’s most enduring franchises for a global audience.
The company outlined a multi-pronged expansion plan for Kamen Rider’s 55th anniversary, including new streaming initiatives, original content, and a broader push into international markets.
At the center of the strategy is digital distribution. Toei relaunched its official YouTube channel, TOEI TOKUSATSU WORLD OFFICIAL (TTWO), where it will stream full episodes of legacy Kamen Rider series for the first time. Titles including Kamen Rider Agito and Kamen Rider Kabuto are rolling out with English subtitles, giving global fans access to key entries in the franchise.
The company is also building new content for the next generation. Toei revealed Kamen Rider MY-TH as the next series in the lineup, with plans for near-simultaneous international distribution alongside its Japanese release.
Beyond series content, Toei is expanding the brand through film. The company introduced three new labels — The Kamen Rider Chronicle, The Kamen Rider Animated, and The Kamen Rider Premium — each targeting different audiences and formats, from legacy-driven storytelling to large-scale global productions.
Kamen Rider debuted in 1971 and has grown into a cornerstone of Japanese pop culture, spanning more than 30 television series and numerous films. The franchise continues to evolve alongside global demand for tokusatsu and anime-inspired content as Toei positions Kamen Rider as a worldwide entertainment and licensing brand.
