Atlanta’s MLB team honored eight-time Grammy Award-winning artist Usher with a night of tributes at Truist Park. The first 15,000 fans received a limited-edition Usher Bobblehead designed by the artist himself featuring his iconic Peace Up, A-Town gesture.
The celebration extended beyond the ballpark. Fans gathered at The Battery Atlanta ahead of the game to enjoy a set from DJ Mars, Usher’s tour DJ, and a visit to the Coming Home Diner food truck, named after Usher’s first independent release. The menu offered themed items inspired by his albums, including OMG Fried Fish and Grits, My Way Lemon Pepper Wet Chicken Wings, and Yeah Shrimp and Grits.
Usher also made a retail appearance at the Threads by the Clubhouse Store in The Battery Atlanta to showcase the newly launched apsule collection, part of the team’s Collab series. Before the first pitch, he led the Open the Gates moment and threw the ceremonial first pitch.
The celebration comes as Atlanta gears up to host the Major League Baseball All-Star Game at Truist Park July 15. The All-Star Futures Game will also be at Truist Park, July 12, followed by the Celebrity Softball Game. Among the Atlanta-connected stars participating are Quavo and Druski.
