Chainsaw Man is Tatsuki Fujimoto‘s hit manga series, which Studio MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen) adapted into an anime in 2022. The story centers on Denji, a Devil Hunter working for the yakuza to pay off the crushing debt he inherited from his parents. When the yakuza betray him and leave him for dead, Denji’s beloved chainsaw-powered devil-dog, Pochita, makes a contract to save him. The two fuse together, giving rise to the unstoppable Chainsaw Man.
Fans worldwide have been eager for the anime to continue with the Reze, or Bomb Girl, arc ever since Season 1 concluded.
To prepare for the next chapter, a recap of Season 1—available both dubbed and subbed—was released, covering the first four arcs: the Introduction, Bat Devil, Eternity Devil, and Katana Man.
On October 24, 2025, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc will hit theaters, marking the franchise’s first big-screen debut. The feature-length film adapts the highly anticipated Reze/Bomb Girl storyline, which begins immediately after the Katana Man arc. A new trailer has already dropped, heightening excitement ahead of the release.
The movie throws Denji into a brutal war between devils, hunters, and secret enemies. When the mysterious Reze steps into his world, Denji faces his most dangerous battle yet—one fueled by love and survival in a world without rules. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (Jujutsu Kaisen, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) and written by Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan, Mob Psycho 100, Jujutsu Kaisen), the film promises to draw both longtime fans and newcomers back into Fujimoto’s dark and twisted vision of 1997 Japan—a world teeming with devils, shadowy organizations, and a boy who must navigate it all as Chainsaw Man.
