This holiday season, Disney is spreading cheer to families all over the world with a new slate of events, holiday content, and products as part of its new Make Someone’s Holiday Magic campaign.
The campaign celebrates Disney’s timeless connection to the holidays, encouraging families and fans to reminisce on the joy, wonder, and magic of the season. To kick off the event, Disney is releasing the second installment in its A Disney Holiday Short series. Directed once again by Taika Waititi, Best Christmas Ever is about an unlikely friendship between a little girl and her silly doodles, which Santa accidentally brings to life. The heartwarming story is available to stream now on Disney+, alongside other holiday classics.
Next month, Disney’s Holiday Magic Tour will return to more than 20 cities worldwide, bringing new holiday activations, community events, and magical moments along with it. The tour will make stops at local schools, children’s hospitals, and nonprofits, as well as Disney-owned network programs, such as Dancing with the Stars, Good Morning America, The View, Tamron Hall, and Wheel of Fortune. Among the many activations, standouts include VoluntEARS toy deliveries, exclusive movie screenings, Broadway cameos, and the return of Disney Ultimate Toy Drive, the company’s longstanding collaboration with Toys for Tots.
“For generations, Disney has been part of how families celebrate the holidays — through the impact we have in communities, the stories we share, and the lifelong memories we help create that bring people together,” says Disney’s Joanna Balikian, Senior Vice President, Brand Management. “This year, Disney is continuing that legacy of making magic during the holidays all over the world.”
The merry magic-making also extends to its consumer products division with a jolly lineup of toys, collectibles, plush, apparel, accessories, and more. The star of the series is a crossover collection of Stitch products, in which the lovable blue alien crash-lands in fan-favorite franchises across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars.
