Funko is expanding its sports licensing portfolio with a new agreement to produce Pop! figures featuring top athletes from the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). The company’s first wave of WNBA collectibles includes A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces), Angel Reese (Chicago Sky), Breanna Stewart (New York Liberty), and Caitlin Clark (Indiana Fever).
The collaboration marks a significant step forward for Funko as it continues to invest in sports culture and fan-driven collectibles. “At Funko, we believe fandom has no boundaries and we are incredibly excited about this relationship,” says Cynthia Williams, Funko CEO. “The recent rapid rise of the WNBA, the power of its players as engaging brand ambassadors, and its passionate fanbase are a testament to the power of sports culture. Bringing these trailblazing athletes to our Pop! lineup is not just about collectibles — it’s about celebrating the energy, talent, and influence of women’s basketball.”
The WNBA Pop! figures follow other recent sports-focused initiatives from Funko, including NBA Pop! Yourself and cross-promotional activations planned around the NBA Finals and Fanatics Fest NYC. As part of its ongoing commitment to championing women in sports, Funko’s expansion into WNBA licensing signals both market momentum and cultural resonance.
WNBA Pop! figures are available for pre-order online at funko.com. More athletes are expected in future releases.
