When the Deadpool Corps, a team of multiversal Deadpools, was introduced, its membership included Kidpool, a child version of everyone’s favorite Merc with a Mouth. Cut to a few years later, the character made the jump from the comics to the big screen in this summer’s Deadpool & Wolverine, except this time portrayed as a young girl since Ryan Reynolds‘ 7-year old daughter Inez played the role.
Today Marvel announced that the cinematic version of Kidpool will be making her comics debut in a special Kidpool & Spider-Boy one-shot comic from writer Christopher Yost and artist Nathan Stockman.
The announcement shouldn’t come as a complete surprise since Marvel is no stranger to more closely aligning characters with their cinematic depictions.

This December, this breakout star enters the Marvel Comics universe for the first time ever in KIDPOOL & SPIDER-BOY #1, a one-shot by superstar writer Christopher Yost, artist Nathan Stockman, and more.
