Mumbot is relaunching its designer figure, The Girl From the Forest Floor, on Kickstarter. The campaign follows strong initial demand from a direct preorder release with the magazine Clutter. The move expands the project’s global visibility while providing a more structured launch platform for collectors.
Rather than restarting the project, the Kickstarter campaign builds on its original momentum, introducing two additional colorways that broaden the offering. Early preorder customers retain their original orders and receive discounted access to the new variants, Amethyst Spirit and Ethereal Glow, as a gesture of gratitude.
The shift also reflects broader challenges in independent toy production, including rising material costs and ongoing shipping uncertainties. By turning to Kickstarter, Mumbot maintains creative control while connecting directly with its collector base.
The 6.25-inch PVC vinyl figure features an injection-molded ghost companion and approximately 11 injection-molded parts. Two points of articulation provide added stability. The piece represents one of Mumbot’s most technically ambitious sculptural works to date.
Known for blending nature, storytelling, and a touch of melancholy, Mumbot continues to expand its universe of characters through detailed figures and multimedia experiences.
