Nintendo will move in new directions as President and Chief Operating Officer Doug Bowser retires Dec. 31. The company is naming Devon Pritchard as its successor.
Bowser held multiple positions throughout his Nintendo career. His distinguished tenure features his promise of delivering the Nintendo Switch system, which continuously changes how people play video games. Bowser also oversaw the Nintendo Switch 2 launch and the company’s growth in entertainment ventures like theme parks and films.
Pritchard acquires the presidential role after Bowser’s retirement. The 19-year veteran of the video game industry also joins the NOA Board of Directors as an NCL Executive Officer. Nintendo continues to grow with Satoru Shibata, who will join the NOA as Chief Executive Officer while continuing his current roles.
