Originally formed in 2006, Crystal Castles is a well-known synth and electronic dance music group from Canada. They immediately gained attention with their unique sound from lo-fi beats to intense synthwave. Their first album, Crystal Castles, was originally released in 2008, and though the promotion and album artwork came with a lot of challenges, the band’s music hit it off with fans and critics. Crystal Castles II was recorded in a variety of locations giving each track in the album a unique sound and giving the band their highest charted song on Billboard. The band has been inactive since 2017, but their musical impact has left a lasting influence on experimental and electronic dance sounds.

The band has been nominated for several punk rock awards in and out of Canada, solidifying their state in the genre. This new record Friday, PUP is releasing their long-awaited 5th studio album WHO WILL LOOK AFTER THE DOGS?
