SPAWN LIVES!
On disc. British-based physical media company Arrow Video has announced plans to release two-disc sets of the 1997 superhero movie Spawn, on 4K UHD Blu-ray in October.
Released in the summer of 1997 and based on Todd MacFarlane’s Spawn, the movie was a hit for New Line Cinema in a time where superhero movies were seen as undesirable in the wake of Joel Schumacher’s Batman and Robin, released just months earlier.
In addition to the popular theatrical release, the Spawn DVD from New Line’s “Platinum Series” was one of the most popular releases in that format, then in its earliest days on the home video market.

4K ULTRA HD LIMITED EDITION CONTENTS
- 4K restorations of both the Director’s Cut and Theatrical Cut of the film from the original camera negatives by Arrow Films
- Reversible sleeve featuring two original artwork options
- Illustrated collector’s booklet featuring new writing on the film by John Torrani
- Double-sided foldout poster featuring two original artwork options
